Citotoxic effect
Through a viability study of BW tumoral cells with the tinction
technique of “Azul (blue) Tripán” it has been
proved an important citotoxic effect as a result of the use of Basquadé
in the cultures of BW tumoral cells as it is seen in the dates of
Chart 1. The % of viability at each time are calculated taking into
account the amount of living cells (that do not include the excluding
colourant Azul Tripán) with respect to the total of cells
(alive + dead). Dead cells are the ones that incorporate the colourant
and thus are seen blue in the microscope.

Chart 1:
% of cellular viability determined by the technique of tinction
Azul (blue)Tripán.
Once determined the cytostatic effect with
the use of Basquadé (confirmed by the consistent inhibition
in the cellular proliferation of BW tumoral), next it was determined
by the % of Viability
ad cellular the CITOTOXIC effect resulting of applying Basquadé
in the cultures of BW tumoral cells.
Because of that test we confirmed that at growing periods of time
there is a decrease in cellular viability or what is the same a
decrease in the number of living tumoral cells.
That is why, we can conclude that Basquadé not only inhibits
the cellular growth but also acts killing tumoral cells, properties
that turn Basquade into a very interesting anti-tumoral medicine.
