Clinical case – Rectum carcinoma

Age: 52 years old

Reason why consults:

In June, 2004 starts with alterations in the low digestive transit. She is clinically diagnosed by fibercolonoscopy rectum tumor. Starts to lose weight.

Illness’ evolution :

The patient refers anus inflammation and she is indicated Basqüadé improving her symptoms. She starts radiotherapy and chimiotherapy tolerating them without side effects. She notices later a weight increase.

14/09/2004 –She consults with our medical team and begins treatment with Basqüadé increasing her appetite and weight.

18/10/2004 – An FCC with biopsy is done, confirming the malignance of the process.

3/2005 – A tumoral resection is done with colostomy and she recobres very well of her surgery gaining 4 more kg. She continues with Basquade in a smaller dose.
Conclusion

52 years old patient without family or personal history of the illness that begins with alteration in the low digestive transit, starting our treatment and improving her symptoms. We concluye that Basqüadé acted very positively taking her to better conditions to the radio and chimiotherapy and to the surgery, improving her quality of life.
